In our center, the adaptation of overnight orthokeratology lenses begins with a personalized feasibility study for each patient. This includes a thorough evaluation of visual efficacy, corneal and tear state, a retina exam, corneal topographies, and an initial trial with the first lenses.

If the feasibility study shows that the treatment is suitable, the patient begins to use the lenses at night. The effects of overnight orthokeratology can be noticed from the first night, although it is necessary for the patient to use the lenses for three to seven consecutive nights for vision to normalize.

During the first weeks of treatment, periodic check-ups are carried out, and the lenses are changed as necessary to achieve optimal graduation and clear and sharp vision. The duration of the treatment will depend on the patient’s type of graduation and their individual response to the treatment.
